Currently the wood waste generated at the South East Fibre Exports Pty Ltd (SEFE) plant at Jews Head on Twofold Bay, Eden, is either sold as landscaping product, or burnt on site with no energy recovery.

The rising cost of energy, rapid growth in biomass energy technology and climate change considerations have prompted SEFE to pursue the
conversion of wood waste into Green energy.
80% of the intended fuel is generated on site, with the remaining
20% to come from nearby sawmills.

NOT ONE ADDITIONAL TREE NEEDS TO BE HARVESTED TO
MEET THE BIOENERGY PLANTS FUEL REQUIREMENT.

It is estimated 51,000 tonnes pa of waste will be consumed to generate 5MW of electricity.
